Event summary: Lean Coffee, January 2021
In January, we hosted our second Lean Coffee event: an opportunity for social entrepreneurs to decide the topic of discussion. Here's what we discussed.
On January 27th, we hosted our second Lean Coffee event: an agenda-less but structured meetup where attendees suggested and selected discussion topics.
Attendees suggested topics for discussion, including their current biggest issues, topical subjects and things that were on their minds. Attendees then upvoted three submitted topics and the highest-scoring topics were added to a list for discussion, starting with the most popular.
We discussed the following topics:
- How are people co-designing during lockdown?
- Why are you interested in social entrepreneurship? What is your link to social enterprise?
- Digital technologies that will stay after we get back to “normal”?
Other topics were suggested and upvoted, but we didn’t have time to discuss them so we may return to them in future events:
- On what topics would people like to see future workshops?
- Staying social while remote
- GM conversations on social enterprise during covid and beyond
- Integrating personal and social missions
- Models of community wealth building
- First thing that you want to do after the lockdown is lifted
- Summer activities during lockdown
- Any ideas on how to achieve serendipity when we’re not meeting casually in the same way?
We agreed to take the following acitions as a result of the discussions:
- Capture/create a document / forum with digital resources
If you’d like to discuss some of these topics, or have an issue you’d like to discuss with other social entrepreneurs, please look out for future Lean Coffee events.
